I shared my experience with the office who made me aware that the general manager was also there for a board meeting and his unit also had rodent feces. The clerk was very kind and provided a "fresh" worn out blanket for our bed. I told her I would wash the sheets myself. That was the only way I felt confident that my sheets were actually clean and disinfected with bleach.
Otherwise, the resort is located in a nice, private location. We had 3 stray cats on our door steps each night. One literally tried to enter our front door. Friendly little fellers...i am surprised that there are rodents with so many stray cats enjoying the resort.
I also stayed at the resort in unit 42 during the previous weekend. We had no issues with stray cats or rodent feces during that stay. We did prefer unit 42 because it had a main floor bathroom. Unit 22 had one bathroom upstairs and one in the bottom floor but none on the main level.
The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and had fun. Mom on the other hand was ready to get home and sleep in my comfy, rodent feces free bed.
We pay way too much for our timeshare for this to be considered as an exchange comparable to our traded in unit. The only new thing in our room was the fridge. The rooms are big but beds are uncomfortable. The blankets are cheap and hardly keep you warm. The unit has no fans in the rooms so it's really hot or really cold, no in-between. There is no phone in the unit. There are no activities or game rooms for kids. The pool was freezing the hot tub was tiny. The furnishings in our unit didn't even match. The water in the kitchen sink won't shut off. The smaller bathroom shower doors are about to fall off. The walls are dingy and you can tell the fixture have been changed out but no painting updated. The chairs left stains on our clothes (old). The wifi didn't work for the first 24 hours. The road to the resort will make you sick. At least a 20 minute drive from town to resort.
This is a wonderful place to bring kids and let them have full run of the pool and slopes, worry free.
The absolute worse experience was getting ready to settle into bed and finding mice feces on my pillows and bedding. I literally could not sleep the first night and refused to share my bed with rodent feces. Since it was very late when we arrived with 3 kids, I decided to wait until the office opened to make them aware.
I rented unit 22 on November 17,2017 for two nights. The unit is dated but roomy. The beds are inner spring mattresses, which you can feel. At first glance everything appeared clean. However, once we entered the master bath room we noticed wood chips eaten away from molding at the floor of the Jacuzzi tub. Within those scattered wood chips was mouse feces. I can understand that this resort is situated in the mountains and it is getting cold but seriously??? This obviously didn't happen over night. House keeping should have caught this.
We really enjoyed our visit to the activities center. The ladies working there are all so friendly and helpful. The lounge and free coffee were a pleasant surprise. I would give the activities center 5 stars if there was a tv in the lounge or easily accessible fitness center. The pool was fun and we visited several times.
We stayed in a three bedroom that was giant. Rooms were a bit dated, but still nice. The pool and activity center were being renovated, so I cant comment on that. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so we had to drive quite a bit to get most places.
